Driven by technological advances and by ever-growing need for higher quality, model-based testing (MBT) has matured in the last decade from a topic of research into an industrial technology. It has been successful in a wide span of application areas, including information and communication technology, internet protocols, information systems, embedded systems, and medical systems.

Many industrial experts and MBT practitioners miss an event dedicated to addressing engineering and application aspects of model-based testing. The ETSI Model-Based Testing User Conference fills this gap and offers an ideal opportunity for test designers, engineers working in test specification and automation, testing experts, quality and/or project managers, and for test tool and service providers from around the world to come together to see, hear about, share experiences as well as learn about the latest advances in the industrial use of model-based testing.

This event is organized by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and the Fraunhofer-Institutes FIRST and FOKUS in Berlin.

It is now more than 30 years of experience that make sepp.med the reliable and well-established partner when it comes to the development, integration and quality assurance of complex and safety-critical systems within the IT-sector. We offer professional test management services, ranging from test specification to test execution and acceptance by the customer.
sepp.med is one of the leading IT-businesses with the application of model based testing (MBT) in industrial projects. These were the decisive steps: Definition of best-practice-methodology model-centric testing (.mzT), which integrates experience from numerous client projects and the development of test case generator MBTsuite which directly supports .mzT and can easily be integrated into existing tool chains. Various cooperations contributed to the development of methodology and tool support as well as years of experience in divers safety critical industries.

Codenomicon DEFENSICS preemptive security and robustness testing solutions help mitigate unknown threats in products and services prior to deployment - before systems are exposed, outages occur and zero-day attacks strike. Codenomicon's unique approach to testing is to apply targeted protocol models combined to a technique called Fuzzing to expose more flaws and weaknesses than any other testing platform or methodology. Companies rely on Codenomicon's solutions to mitigate threats, like Denial of Service situations and Zero Day Attacks, which could increase liability, damage business reputation and cripple sales.
